What makes this even more special is that the Celebrity Compass is being built right here in the Netherlands. At the renowned TeamCo Shipyard in Heusden, Dutch maritime engineering meets the sophisticated luxury of Celebrity Cruises. This ensures a level of craftsmanship and innovation that is truly world-class.
The interiors are designed by the world-renowned UK designer Kelly Hoppen who also designed the Edge Class ocean ships. Her signature 'neutral luxury' style is evident throughout the vessel, using a sophisticated palette and clean lines to ensure that every space feels open, airy, and incredibly high-end. There will be infinity Verandah Staterooms they are located on the higher decks, same as on the Edge Class ships. You can open the window half, it gives you the feeling of a balcony. On the lower decks there will be Riverview staterooms, it's more like a porthole idea of stateroom.

My experience
I have been fortunate enough to cruise on The Gentleman and recently visited The Nobleman. One of the greatest advantages of river cruising is the social atmosphere. Unlike large ocean liners, it is much easier to make friends on a river ship. Because there are usually only one or two central lounges, it naturally becomes the place where everyone gathers. This is a huge benefit for solo travelers or guests who enjoy mingling.
Another major plus is the location. River cruise ships dock right in the heart of the city. This makes it incredibly easy to step off and explore, and just as easy to return to the ship throughout the day to rest or enjoy lunch and dinner. There’s no need for expensive taxis or long transportation times. I’ve noticed that this accessibility is especially beneficial for older guests, offering them total freedom to explore at their own pace.
