Have you ever taken a cruise from Barcelona?

Then you probably know it's one of the busiest cruise ports in the world. Every day, multiple cruise ships dock here, ready to set sail. Barcelona is a major departure point for Mediterranean cruises, and in this blog, I’ll give you an overview of some of the ships setting sail from this city next summer.

The port is also easily accessible from all over Europe. With multiple daily flights and just a 20-minute drive from the airport to the cruise terminal, getting on board couldn’t be easier.

I've selected the best cruises from Barcelona for 2026 just for you.

Legend of the Seas – Royal Caribbean

This brand-new ship from Royal Caribbean International will make its debut this summer. It begins its very first season in the Western Mediterranean with 7-night cruises, departing from and returning to Barcelona.

Legend of the Seas is a sister ship to the Icon and the Star. A cruise on this ship is a fantastic experience for families, as the ship itself is truly a destination.

On October 25, she will depart from Barcelona for her transatlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale.

This ultra all-inclusive luxury cruise ship will depart from Barcelona several times for 7-night cruises, visiting smaller, more exclusive ports such as Saint-Tropez, Monaco, and Sardinia. At the end of the season, the ship will leave Barcelona for its transatlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale.

Are you planning to take a cruise from Barcelona in 2026? I’m happy to help you find the perfect trip.

There are also many other cruise ships departing from Barcelona in 2026, such as Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Gem and Norwegian Epic, Oceania Cruises’ Oceania Nautica, and the Rotterdam from Holland America Line.

We always book a hotel for a night in Barcelona before our cruise. We’ve sailed from this city several times, and Barcelona is also my favorite airport in Europe! Barcelona is not only a great departure port but also a fantastic city to spend some time in.

There are plenty of great hotels to choose from, both around Las Ramblas and in the business district near El Diagonal. A personal tip: we keep coming back to the same hotel because of its beautiful rooms, excellent location (just around the corner from Las Ramblas), and delicious food. Definitely check out Ohla Eixample — highly recommended!
